The presentations that mark the end of the prep program left me with a sense of intense nostalgia. The fact that one year at FLAME is already over had not sunk in my head before this day. Everything was the same- the venue, the events, the judges, the enthusiasm, the atmosphere. But the students were new. I knew none of them. I felt a sudden crunch in my stomach when I realized its been one year-ALREADY!!!!
Looking behind, I see I have gathered wonderful memories that would remain with me for my lifetime and consummate companionship from wonderful people here- the people have constituted a new family. Yes, we see ourselves as a family and FLAME has become a home-away-from-home.
Another year lie ahead, with new expectations, with rejuvenated enthusiasm, with dulcet vista. But, also, the last year brings with itself the sorrow of being a 'last' year in this wonderful experience called FLAME. I believe we should commit ourselves in living each and every moment here to the fullest, would welcome everything set forth with open arms.
Looking forward to a wonderful, memorable, red-letter year ahead. Can't wait to see you guys back on campus....
